Village & Board Resolutions Against the Ambler Road

The following councils, villages, organizations and boards urge the State of Alaska to end its proposal to build an industrial-use only road to the Ambler Mining District. The road proposal would receive no federal assistance and use public money for highly speculative private profit.

Alaskans rely on the current land status in the north to earn incomes and feed families. This proposal represents the state’s disregard for traditions, values, livelihoods and futures.

There are no signed agreements for corporate development to date. The road proposal is 100% speculative and the entire burden for construction, maintenance and reclamation rests with the State of Alaska.
